ECD B Physical Education and Arts
Ages 4–5 · 6 units · 24 lessons
Introduction
This is a Physical Education and Arts course for ECD B (Ages 4–5). A young child learns with play, songs, pictures and kind talk. An adult should sit nearby, praise effort, and stop before the child is tired. We follow Zimbabwe’s Heritage-Based Curriculum: Ubuntu/Unhu, home language, and real life first.
What you will learn
You will grow in Physical Education and Arts through these units: Moving in different ways; Ball play and sharing; Balance and stretching; Drawing people and animals; Dance and rhythm; Acting a little story. By the end you should be able to talk about each idea, try a task, and connect it to home and Zimbabwe.
How we learn
We learn in tiny steps. We look, we say, we do, we praise. If the child looks away, we pause. Short, happy lessons beat long, hard ones.
What you need
Crayons, paper, and something to count or hold. An adult nearby to help. Open space to move. Paper and crayons. Water to drink after play.
