Introduction
This is the Grade 5 Mathematics course (Ages 10–11). It is written so a child can learn with a teacher, a parent, or a careful older sibling. Every lesson tells you what will happen, why it matters, how to try it, and how to know you understood. What you will learn
You will grow in Mathematics through these units: Number; Rounding off and comparing numbers; Roman numerals; Proper fractions (denominators 2 to 10 and 20); Mixed numbers (denominators 2 to 10); Decimals (up to 2 decimal places); Percentages; Addition; Subtraction of whole numbers (0-100 000); Multiplication of whole numbers and 8 more units. How we learn

What you need
A pencil, an exercise book, and a quiet place to sit. Counters such as bottle tops, stones or beans. A ruler if you have one.
